I really don’t have anything special to report this evening. We are still dealing new big-brother-giant-destructor-bringer-of-pain-and-death Deven, and it is exhausting. Tonight, Deven spent an hour screaming, throwing things, knocking over chairs, and refusing to eat dinner. We aren’t sure how much more Vance’s mom is willing to take before she loses it and doesn’t speak to any of us for a year. Vance is thinking Thursday or Friday. We will miss her terribly. I told Vance that next week he needs to have his phone near by and ON at all times, in case I meltdown. I sincerely hope that not having Vance’s mom here might bring some improvement to his behavior since everything will be back to normal, sort-of, or at least our new normal.
And Archer, you remember Archer, right? The baby? The calmest and quietest member of the family, yet the one who still wakes the entire house up every two hours at night. Yeah. He’ll be two weeks old on Thursday. We were watching him today and we totally realized that this kid is way stronger than Deven was. He can pick up his head and look around in any direction he wants, and when he is looking for a boob to latch onto, he practically crawls up your chest and your shoulder, but that’s not even the best part: This kid can roll over from his stomach to his back. Not that surprising if you consider that his first minutes of life were spent rolling from his back to his side. He hates being on his back. Jeez, not even a month old, and this kid is well on his way to being mobile. I have to get a video of it, it’s awe-inspiring.
The sad part is pretty much all of this can probably be attributed to his small head.
